The anime adaptation of Nazuna Miki’s Mukuware Nakatta Murabito A, Kizoku ni Hirowarete Dekiai Sareru Ue ni, Jitsu wa Motteita Densetsu-kyū no Kami Skill mo Kakusei Shita (Unremarkable Villager A, Is Taken in by a Noble Who Dotes on Him, and to Top It Off, He Awakens a Legendary God-Level Skill He Had Been Hiding) isekai fantasy light novel series was announced back in October 2023 and today we finally we see the first glimpse of what the anime series will look like. The first teaser visual was released today (above) which features Mateo looking out across the blue sky.
Mukuware Nakatta Murabito A was first published on Shosetsuka ni Naro before being picked up for print by Shueisha in 2021. The seventh volume of the light novel, written by Nazuna Miki (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1) and illustrated by Kaito Shibano, was released in Japan on May 24, 2024. It has been adapted into a manga series by Suzume Kumo, with the third volume set to release on May 19.
Masahiko Komino (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders) is directing the Mukuware Nakatta Murabito A anime at studio l-a-unch・BOX with series composition written by Takamitsu Kono (A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special) and character designs by Junko Yamanaka (Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life).
The story follows Mateo, an unremarkable peasant who is one day reincarnated as the grandson of a noble who spoils him. In his new life, Mateo soon discovers that he possesses immense magical power that surpasses all previous records.
